Sheikh Bahaee Bath in photos

Visit Sheikh Bahaee Bath in Iran’s Isfahan city for its brilliant background.

Sheikh Bahaee Bath in Isfahan is a magnificent historical site for visitors to see and learn how an entire bathroom operated on an ever-burning single flame source.

In old days, Iranian scientists had found a way to heat the bathroom water using the least energy. They used only one source of flame for warming up the water so the locals could wash dirt and fatigue off their bodies.

The bath is indeed a mysterious masterpiece anyone interested in sciences and history should pay a visit to.

It is believed that the idea was proposed and put into practice by Baha al-Din Muhammad ibn Husayn al-Amili (AKA Sheikh Bahaee), a Muslim scholar, philosopher, architect, mathematician, astronomer and poet who lived in the late 16th and early 17th centuries during the Safavid era in Iran.

Interested to know more about the grand scientist and his works, watch iFilm’s series ‘Sheikh Bahaee’.
